TSMR offers (usually) daily news, opinion and oddities from the world of exhibition management and event marketing. We also have a free monthly newsletter offering opinion related to the TSMR blog as well as other relevant news.
The Portal: www.tsmi.org
TWG created TSMI.org in 2002 to provide a central portal for information related to tradeshow and event marketing. (note: we will be dismantling the portal in 2005 and transferring the tsmi domain to the blog. Isn't it amazing that the content management system we bought three years ago for $2500 can now be done on a blog for $12.00 a month!).
While our industry's magazines and web sites provide a certain level of information, too often they are focused on large events or traditional marketing campaigns without the level of granularity marketing professionals require to emulate the success of these case studies.
What TSMI.org provides is not only information on how to market trade events, but also information on how the rest of the B2B world manages sales, direct mail, e-marketing and other efforts required to succeed in their fields.
We believe that by offering information from the best sites on marketing, we can help 'raise the bar' on our industry's own marketing efforts, which, unfortunately, often pales in comparison to what leading B2B marketers achieve.
